Derek擅長運用跨媒介表達藝術治療手法，以人為本的心理輔導及治療，內容範圍包括情緒/精神健康、長期病患、特殊需要，個人成長及改善人際溝通等。曾為多間院校及機構提供個案或小組形式的表達藝術治療、體驗、培訓及社區藝術項目。曾於香港大學行為健康教研中心擔任臨床研究的治療師，及以研究員身份參與有關藝術與健康的各項學術研究。
 

Derek另為舞者、編舞及舞蹈老師。
 

Derek uses an multi/intermodal approach in Expressive Arts Therapy to provide person-centred service according to the needs of service users. Derek serves people with emotional/mental health needs, chronic illness, special needs; needs of enhancing personal growth and improving interpersonal communication. Derek provided individual/group therapy, experiential, training and community program for various schools, colleges and NGOs. He worked as a therapist for a clinical trial and participated in various academic researches on arts and health as a researcher, at the Centre on Behavioral Health, HKU.

Derek is also a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher.
