Brief Development of Expressive Arts Therapy
表達藝術治療已在世界各地擁有三十年發展歷史。七十年代初期，裴洛‧尼爾(Paolo Knill), Norma Canner and 雄恩‧麥克尼夫(Shaun McNiff) 於Lesley College Graduate School創立了表達治療(Expressive therapy)的課程。其後，北美洲及歐洲相繼成立更多表達藝術治療課程及訓練1。國際表達藝術治療協會於一九九四年創立，以支援及監察全球的表達藝術治療專業的運用2。
Expressive Arts Therapy has had thirty-year history of development worldwide. In the early 1970s, Paolo Knill, Norma Canner and Shaun McNiff founded the program in Expressive Therapy Lesley College Graduate School. Afterward, more Expressive Arts Therapy programs and trainings were established in North America and Europe1. In 1994, International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) was founded to support and regulate the professional use of the expressive arts globally2.
In Hong Kong, Expressive Arts Therapy has became a viable remedy in the society. Its professional training programs have been established in the recent years. Expressive Arts Therapy Association of Hong Kong (EATAHK) was found in 2012 to support the local expressive arts therapists3.
